Breaking: Peter Obi Speaks On Negotiating With Atiku Abubakar
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has doused the tension created by the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar who two days ago revealed that he is talks with Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) as well as Peter Obi for a possible collaboration.
Atiku Abubakar seeks the support of the two frontline presidential candidates so as to brighten his chances of emerging the next president of Nigeria at the expense of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso’s presidential ambition.
In his response to the report as well as claims by Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi through his Twitter handle, reiterated that he is not relenting on his presidential ambition nor resolve to rescue Nigeria from decades of misrule.
“Good Morning Nigeria. The march is on. There is no going back; no stopping; we must all work hand-in-hand. The journey to take back Nigeria is Now or Never! -PO”
The spokesperson of the Obidatti presidential campaign council, Dr. Yunusu Tanko had earlier debunked the report that Peter Obi is negotiating with Atiku Abubakar. In the statement he released to the public titled:OBI NOT IN TALKS WITH ATIKU, Tanko noted that Peter Obi is contesting to win the presidential election.
“Peter Obi is in the contest to win in consonance with the aspiration of majority of Nigerians who desire a New Nigeria devoid of lies, corruption and selfish scheming”, the statement reads in part.
Peter Obi’s presidential ambition according to speculations, is the major hindrance to Atiku Abubakar’s presidency. Many believe that Atiku Abubakar is bent on ensuring that his running mate in the 2019 presidential election does not ruin his chances of succeeding president Muhammadu Buhari.
