A Staff Of Popular Hotel In Lagos Returns Misplaced $70,000 To Customer

Many will question whether this story is news worthy, but I decided to write on this to encourage and appreciate the act of honesty displayed by a Nigerian, despite how everyone needs more money now, considering the current situation in the country. This is a remarkable act.
A staff of Popular hotel in Lagos, Eko Hotel and Suites who’s name wasn’t disclosed, returned a bag containing the sum $70,000 which was left by a staff in one of the hotel’s suites.
The staff who discovered the bag after the customer checked out, immediately reported to the hotel management about the bag and the content.
The hotel’s General Manager, Danny Kioupouroglou, following the policy of the work place, contacted the customer and the bag was returned with all items intact.
However addressing the act by their staff, the management of Eko Hotel and Suites shared a post online eulogizing their staff.
The post reads;
“At Eko Hotel and Suites, we pride ourselves on our commitment to ethical conduct and exceptional customer service. We believe that our staff are our greatest asset, and this incident is a testament to that belief.” They wrote.
