Aisha Yesufu Tackles Adeyanju Deji over Peter Obi

Activist and convener of Concerned Nigerians, Adeyanju Deji, appeared to have raised several eyebrows including that of fellow activist, Aisha Yesufu, who tackled him over his remark on Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Following Adeyanju’s disapproving comment on Peter Obi’s speech at  the International Conference Centre, Abuja,  for Labour Party’s leadership summit, Aisha Yesufu took a short but deep dig at the activist.

“Gathering people at ICC for a summit, speaking big grammar, sleeping on social media & winning online polls are not signs of someone serious about winning election in Nigeria but a person hustling for ministerial appointment. They are ignoring where attention is needed the most”. Adeyanju had tweeted.

In reaction, Aisha replied with “Noted with thanks” as other Twitter users called out Adeyanju.

Prior to the switch of Peter Obi from People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to Labour Party, Adeyanju Deji was a staunch advocate for Igbo presidency and in several occasions, described Mr. Peter Obi as the only one capable of turning Nigeria’s decals of misrule around.

However, an unexplained twist saw Deji become critical of Peter Obi and his supporters whom he accuses of being online bullies.

Just as one Twitter user had replied, Adeyanju had probably forgotten that “social media does not forget” as his post where he was clamoring for Igbo presidency resurfaced.

He had called out APC Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice President of the Federation, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, for attempting to retain power to the north, while strongly yearning for Igbo presidency.
