The management of the institution recently began the installation of Closed-Circuit Television cameras (CCTV), in the office of lecturers, irrespective of their position, to curb the ugly report.

Recall that some weeks ago, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Charles Esimone, suspended some Lecturers who was accused of sexual harassment by female students of the institution.

It was revealed that the CCTV installations started from the Faculty of Law, despite how some Lecturers are against the action taken by the the school management.

According to some lecturers, it is an infringement to their human right and privacy, as they can’t have any private discussion with their visitors or students.

However, the management of the institution backed up their action, by stating that they are public workers, and are paid with taxpayers’ money, so the school authority have the right to know how they carryout their formal duties.”

This has triggered many reactions in the campus, as some employees supported the decision made by the management.
