Atiku Abubakar Linked To Bandit Negotiator, Tukur Mamu

The Reliant News had reported that bandit negotiator, Tukur Mamu was on Tuesday arrested by Egyptian security authority while he en route Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj.

He was subsequently repatriated to Nigeria after no incriminating evidence was found on him.

Tukur Mamu had a few days ago pulled out of his mediation between Kidnap-victims of the Abuja-kaduna train attack, accusing  the federal government of Nigeria of plotting to blackmail him with link to terrorism and banditry.

Unofficial sources alleged that Tukur Mamu might be complicit to banditry and terrorism.

Reports say at his arrival in Nigeria from Egypt, he was taken hold of by the Nigeria’s secret police. His Kaduna home was also raided by the Secret Police with his personal belongings such as mobile phones and laptop confiscated.

Interestingly, former minister of aviation, Femi Fani Kayode in his reaction to Tukur’s arrest by the secret police, described him as terrorists accomplice whose associates must be arrested and prosecuted. He made the tweet alongside with  pictures of the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar with the suspect, Tukur Mamu; and another with Islamic Cleric and bandit sympathizer, Sheikh Gumi.

Femi Fani Kayode is understood to be linking Tukur Mamu to Atiku Abubakar.

“His tweet reads: The biggest breakthrough in the fight against BH & ISWAP is the arrest, repatriation & detention of Tukur Mamu who is an accomplice to the terrorists and who negotiates for ransoms on their behalf. I commend the noble & patriotic efforts of the DSS and NIA in this respect.

“I urge them to go after his associates and other highly placed individuals that are close to him & that have also spoken & negotiated for the terrorists in the past.

“Finally I call on them to establish precisely what the link is between him & and a leading figure in the PDP.
