“To be honest, I didn’t want to leave but the offer was huge one”, Victor Osimhen On His Leaving Napoli

It is no doubt that the future of sensational Nigerian  striker, Victor Osimhen at Napoli still hangs in the air.

In his interview with Obionepodcast on November 13th, Victor Osimhen disclosed that he was at he verge of leaving Napoli FC in the summer when a mouthwatering offer came for him from Saudi Arabia. He said he was tempted by the huge some of money and had approached the Napoli FC management to consider letting him leave for Saudi Arabia.

However, Napoli reiterated their interest to keep him at the club at the expense of the big money offer from Saudi Arabian club. He said such an assurance from the club hierarchy prevented him from moving to Saudi Arabia in the summer.

 “I’ve to be honest, I never thought of leaving last summer as Napoli wanted to keep me”.

“But when the offer from Saudi came in, it was a huge one. Big one… it was difficult to reject. I spoke to Napoli and I decided to stay”.

It’s is understood that Victor Osimhen might be strongly considering a move away from Napoli especially as his relationship with the club hierarchy appears to have moved from being rosy following the TikTok video controversy.
