” Because Your Husband Is APC”, Nigerians Criticize Mercy Johnson Over Her Attack On Egg Sellers

Nigerians online have criticized Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson whose husband, Prince Odi Okojie is the Representative of the Esan South/North in the Nigeria’s House of Representatives, over her blaming egg sellers for the rising cost of eggs nationwide.

In the video which the Reliant News obtained online, Mercy Johnson argued that the rising cost of egg nationwide is not justified by the dwindling value of Naira at the Forex market. According to her, forex exchange has nothing to do with egg production which in her words, is local.

However, she was quickly reminded that the production of eggs involves medical care and poultry feeds some of which are not locally sufficient and hugely dependent on importation.

Some accused the popular actress of trying to redirect blame from the underperforming Nigeria government because her husband vied and won political position on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
