Borno State Government Places Ban On Street Begging And Aimless Parade, Gives Reason

On Sunday, 22nd October, In a public notice shared by the Borno State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Prof. Usman Tar, he revealed that the state government has banned aimless loitering, and begging in the state capital, and it’s environ.

He stated that the issue of street begging, and unnecessary parading around in the streets were never their culture, and can’t be part of their culture.

Usman charged those involved in such act should, to desist from it, as the ban takes place with immediate effect, and any offender to the new policy will be forced to face the law.

Some of his words;

“In Borno State, street begging and aimless loitering are not in our character. We are dignified people.

“This is to inform members of the public that the Borno State Government has placed a strict ban on all street begging, loitering, and gallivanting within and around Maiduguri Metropolis and Jere LGAs,” he said.
