Breaking‼️: Rivers State House Assembly Razed As Gunmen Attack Building

Amid the alleged plan to impeach the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, by some lawmakers, some armed men attacked the state house of assembly building on Sunday night, around 9:25pm.
According to report gathered, the armed men threw in explosives into the state house of assembly building, which triggered the fire outbreak.
It was rumoured that some lawmakers in the state legislature planned to impeach the House leader, Eddison Ehie, to make it easier for them to be able to impeach the state governor. It was said that Eddison Ehie, was hindering all plan by the lawmakers to carry out the impeachment.
However, speaking on the attack, a senior police officer who pleaded anonymity, affirmed that the incident took place, and revealed that it was a politically sponsored.
He further revealed that the fire has been put out by firemen who arrived the place, following the report they got.
In his words;
“Yes it is true. The fire occurred around 9:30pm or so. But as we speak, it (the fire) has been put out by firefighters who arrived at the scene just in time. I think it has to do with politics,” he said.
