Burna Boy Sends Words To Davido Over His First Grammy Awards Nomination
The 2024 Grammy Awards Nomination featured prominent Nigerian names as music superstar, David Adeleke better known as Davido for the first time, earned a place in the nomination list.
Davido was nominated in three categories, one of which Burna Boy was also nominated. Other Nigerian name on the list is Asake.
Davido was quick to react to his Grammy nomination; a feat which had eluded his illustrious music career until now. His counterpart, Burna Boy had won Grammy previously. Davido described his nomination as a delay not being a denial.
Also, Burna Boy who had won Grammy through his Twitter handle, congratulated Davido and other African music artists whose names feature in the 2024 Grammy awards nomination list.
He tweeted: “Once more, my deepest gratitude to the Grammy academy for this incredible honor. A HUGE congrats to the talented African artists who were nominated alongside me. The true win lies in sharing these moments with you all at my shows and expressing it through my music”.
