CBN’s Deputy Governor, Aisha Ahmad Arrested By DSS For Allegedly Acquiring Shares In Two Banks Fra¥dulently

Weeks after the suspension of former CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his arrest by the Department of State Services (DSS), for being in possession of a fir£arm illegally, and he was later charged with N6.9 billion fr@ud.

The Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), in a recent report, revealed that the DSS, reportedly arrested CBN’s Deputy Governor, Aisha Ahmad, over alleged fra¥dulent acquisition of shares in Titan Bank/Union and Polaris Bank.

According to the report, she has been detained by DSS and interrogated to ascertain how she was able to get $300 Million to bankroll Titan Bank’s recent acquisition of Union Bank.

Recall that Aisha Ahmad replaced Sarah Alade, who retired in March 2017, and she was confirmed by the Senate on 22nd March, 2018.
