Daily Independent Journalist, Femi John Adi Accepts To Donate Kidney To Ekweremadu’s Daughter

A Kaduna State based journalist at the Daily Independent has announced on his Facebook page his decision to donate one of kidneys to save the daughter of former deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Ike Ekweremadu.

In the statement he titled ” willing to save”, Femi John Adi declared that he is willing to donate to Sonia Ekweremadu who four days ago, amidst his parents ongoing court case on alleged organ harvesting in the United Kingdom, appealed to the general public to come to her aide.

Through her Instagram page, Sonia Ekweremadu urged the public to save her by donating a kidney. She stated that her illness is the cause of her parents current travail in the United Kingdom. She further promised to dedicate her life afterwards towards helping those with similar issue.

“I, Sonia Ekweremadu, hereby appeal to the general public to come to my aid and save my life.

“I am 25 years old and a graduate of Media and Communications, University of Coventry. I dropped out of my post-graduate studies at the University of Newcastle in 2019 when I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease, FSGS”, her statement read in part.

Consequently, John Femi Adi in response to Sonia’s public appeal, said he is willing to do in line with the Holy Bible demands for Christians to love their neighbours as they do to themselves.

“Willing to Save a Soul I, Comrade John Femi Adi, a Kaduna based journalist and farmer hereby announce my ‘agape’ decision to donate one of my kidneys to Senator Ekweremadu’s beautiful daughter.

“I am doing this on God’s order in the Holy Bible to Love our neighbours as ourselves .
