Director, Tunji Calls Out Kunle Afolayan Over Breach Of Contractual Terms, Threatens To Take Action

The Managing Director of KAP Productions Limited, Kunle Afolayan has been called out by Art Director, Tunji Afolayan over what he tagged as, ‘breach of contractual terms’.
According to Tunji, Kunle Afolayan intensionally made an attempt to undermine his relevance on the movie, ‘ Ijogbon’ ,after being contacted by Mr. Segun Akintunde, a Line Producer at KAP productions Limited to work with them as Art Director for the movie.
In the letter issued to Mr. Kunle Afolayan by Tunji legal counsel, the contract signed on 11th January, between Tunji and KAP’s Production Representatives, in the presence of Mr. Kunle Afolayan, stipulated all the deliverables and money Tunji should expect as an Art Director for the movie.
In the letter Tunji alleged that all signed documents were kept by KAP Production’s management, without giving him any copy as it suppose to be.
Tunji revealed that his name was omitted as the Art Director for the movie, which is on Netflix. Instead Kunle Afolayan was credited as the Art Director for the Movie.
While his name was placed as a ‘Set Designer’ against what was stipulated in the contract before he signed it, and gave out his ideas in the movie.
However, Mr. Tunji’s legal representative, in the letter demanded that all necessary correction should be made within seven days, before they take the issue up.
Part of the letter reads;
“Our client is appalled at this grave omission and therefore regards this as a breach of contractual terms in the contract with KAP Productions Limited. This is further viewed and taken, as a deliberate attempt to undermine our client’s creative work and relevance for the movie titled ‘Ijogbon’.
“In view of the above, our client demands that his name and role for which he was contracted and worked, be restored and properly credited in the Movie ‘Ijogbon’ as the Art Director,” It reads.
