Billionaire businessman cum politician, Ned Nwoko has appealed to the Federal Government of Nigeria to forgo its plan to extradite Nigerian-born Finland-based Biafra nation activist, Simon Ekpa.
Prior to the Nigeria’s 2023 general elections, there were intense call for the extradition of mazi Simon Ekpa to Nigeria as his threat of “no-election in Biafra land” was perceived as a huge threat to the general elections especially in the southeast, Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview, Senator Ned Nwoko argued that the use of force to suppress agitation have proven to be counterproductive. The senator representing Delta north senatorial constituency in the Nigeria senate, enjoined the administration of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to free the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu necessary for the Federal to dialogue with him especially on the issue of secession.
Ned Nwoko further suggested that political opportunities should be made available for the agitators to democratically pursue their regional interest.
