Funke Akindele Shares How She Suffered Rejection In The Past
Popular Nollywood actress cum producer and politician, Funke Akindele, while in a recent chat with Media Personality, Toke Makinwa shared how she suffered rejection in the past due to her physique.
According to the veteran actress, she was denied big movie roles in the past by film makers due to her facial look and physique, and this left her in tears and deep thought.
She also revealed that during those times, her Colleague, Iyabo Ojo always try to help her out by inducing film makers to neglect her facial look and physique and consider her ability to deliver any role.
In her words;
“I remember people telling me, ‘You are not fine. You don’t have ass. You don’t have boobs. You will not be in this film. And, I remember crying. A lot of times I would cry, break down, get into the bathroom and cry.”
Recall that the Reliant News earlier reported how the actress reunited with her ex-husband, JJC Skills with whom she has two children, during the premier of Nollywood movie, The Black Book in which Funke Akindele was featured.
