Governor Hope Uzodinma Takes A Slight Dig At Buhari As Power Goes Off While He Was Speaking (Video)
The governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma in a video making the rounds on social media, took a slight dig at the Nigerian government over power instability in the country.
The governor felt embarrassed by the Nigerian Power Holding Company who ceased supply of power while the governor was delivering his speech. Following the power outage, the governor was aided by phone torchlight to continue his speech.
As shown in the video below, Hope Uzodinma could not hide the embarrassment he felt in consequence; hence, threw a subtle dig at Nigerian government; as several government administrations have failed to stabilize electricity supply in the country.
In 2019, the world ranked Nigeria as the worst country in terms of electricity access by its citizens. According to the world bank, Nigeria is followed by Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ethiopia.
In his reaction to the power outage, governor Hope Uzodinma said:”Well, we are in Nigeria”, he said while continuing with his speech as he awaited power to be restored.
