Grammy Organizers Declares Burnaboy ‘The Best African Artist’, Gives Reason

The organizers of Grammy award in a congratulatory note published on their official website, for Nigerian Singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as, ‘Burnaboy’, stated that the singer is a unique act in the afrobeat music industry.

This is after publishing the nominees for the 2024 Grammy awards, which will be held on on 4th February, 2024, at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

In the published statement, the academy stated that the Nigerian singer’s ability to secure his first UK No. 1 album this year, with his album tagged “I Told Them…” is commendable.

This after winning the award with his albums ‘Twice as Tall’ and ‘African Giant’.

The post reads;

 “There’s not a bigger star in Afrobeats, or even the whole of Africa itself, than Burna Boy. He nabbed two consecutive Best Global Album GRAMMY nods for his albums Twice as Tall and African Giant, and he’s also collaborated with global stars such as Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber.” It reads.
