Recall that Kemi Olunloyo in reaction to David Hundeyin ‘s winning the prize, described him as an untrained journalist who does not understand the core tasks of the profession.

She has subsequently described him as an insurrectionist, citing David Hundeyin’s involvement in the 2020 EndSARS protest and his notable effort in exposing the shooting and killing of unarmed peaceful protesters at the Lekki tollgate by Nigeria’s armed forces during the October 20th, 2020 EndSARS protest.

Interestingly, on her fault finding mission on David Hundeyin, Kemi Olunloyo alleged through her Twitter handle that David Hundeyin contributed to his father’s death for not giving him a proper medical care while he was sick.

“David Hundeyin contributed to the DEATH of his father. The poor man had ordinary diabetes. With a diabetic crisis, you take someone to the hospital to treat the ketoacidocis. David and his mom sat by his bedside and watched him die bcos Jehovah Witnesses don’t seek medical care”, she tweeted
