Investigative Journalist, David Hundeyin Tackles Adeyanju Deji over Peter Obi
Widely celebrated investigative Nigerian journalist, David Hundeyin has berated controversial Kogi-state born activist. Adeyanju Deji over his distasteful comment on the presidential ambition of Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
Adeyanju Deji is understood to be leading the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) social media smear campaign against Mr. Peter Obi and his supporters. Adeyanju Deji who before Mr. Peter Obi made his switch from the PDP to the Labour Party, was a staunch advocate for an Igbo presidency and supporter of Peter Obi.
The controversial activist alleged that Mr. Peter Obi invited him and offered him two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to support his presidential ambition as well as project his candidacy on social media. Interestingly, while the claim had been debunked by Peter Obi’s camp, Deji has continued to criticize Peter Obi, linking him to the IPOB as well as describing his supporters as IPOB members. He further alleged that Peter Obi was responsible for the sharing of the Dasuki’s arms procurement funds among the PDP members under the administration of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
In his bid to dampen the spirits of Mr. Peter Obi’s supporters, Deji staked a ten thousand dollars on Mr. Peter Obi’s electoral victory. According to him, Peter Obi will come distant third in the 2023 presidential election and will not win.
While reacting to Adeyanju Deji, David Hundeyin urged him to identify a more significant avenue to invest his money rather than trying to prove a point to Mr. Peter Obi. He reminded him of the poverty level in his home state, Kogi state and further appealed to him to invest such an outrageous amount in funding the studies of the numerous out-of-school youths in his state.

Chief, you have far more significant things you could do with $10,000 in the state you dream of governing someday.
If the money is plenty liek that, you can pick out a smart student from Kogi and give them a scholarship or something. Nobody cares about proving a point to Obi. https://t.co/fJpHeYtj9U pic.twitter.com/kUzWKd44ip
