It Was Since I Hosted Peter Obi At Oxford University That My Troubles Started- Onyeka Nwelue Reveals
Renowned writer and former visiting professor at Africa’s Studies Centre at Oxford University and the University of Cambridge, Onyeka Nwelue through his Twitter handle insinuated that his ordeal at the Oxford University is linked to his public show of support to the presidential ambition of Peter Obi.
Onyeka Nwelue was a visiting professor at the Africa’s Studies Centre at Oxford University from 2021 to 2023; a position he was relieved due to alleged misrepresentation of academic positions.
His appointment at the Africa’s Studies Centre at Oxford University was terminated in 2023 a few weeks after he hosted Mr. Peter Obi as well as famous Nigerian investigative journalist, David Hundeyin.
Hence, Onyeka Nwelue’s latest cryptic tweet suggests that he might be linking his ordeal at Oxford University and Cambridge University to his identifying with Peter Obi as well as supporting his presidential ambition.
The writer however revealed that he does not regret his actions.
“Exactly one year ago, we hosted @PeterObi at the Oxford Union. It was when my woes began at the University of Oxford, even before @DavidHundeyin came. But, I am happy”, he wrote
