Lagos State Labour Party Chairman, Olukayode Salako, Speaks On Rejoining APC, Working As A Mole For Tinubu In Labour Party

The Lagos State Labour Party Chairman, Olukayode Salako has spoken on the viral report that he is a mole for the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Labour Party.

Recall that a report made the rounds across social media platforms which claims that Olukayode Salako, the Lagos State Labour Party (LP) Chairman has rejoined the APC after some members of the LP discovered that he was working against the party and for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Interestingly, in an interview with the Punch Newspaper, Olukayode Salako described the report as an attempt to splinter the Labour Party in Lagos and cause division among the Obidient family.

“It is not true. They are just social media propaganda designed to splinter the Labour Party’s political family in Lagos State and incite Nigerians, particularly Obidient Nigerians to oppose the state’s Labour Party leadership”, he is quoted to have said.

He however did not deny that his wife, Foluke Daramola is currently working for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that she is gaining tremendously from the party; hence, unwise for her to abandon the party for the Labour Party (LP) for his sake.

“She has been on the side of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political system all her life. I was also part of the system until I left for the Labour Party recently. She has built a lot for herself in the APC system.

“Right now, she is enjoying a lot of opportunities and privileges that she cannot just forsake and say she is coming to the Labour Party with her husband. Such a decision needs a lot of thought and a lot of persuasion and encouragement”
