Mesut Ozil Sends Controversial Message To Israel Over Siege On Palestine
As Israel war against Hamas terrorists approaches a week, former German international and world cup winner, Mesut Ozil has appealed to the warring parties to embrace peace.
Mesut Ozil though his Twitter handle stated that peace is necessary between Israel and its Palestine neighbour due to the high casualties in the war whose victims are mostly innocent persons and children.
He described the arm conflict as “heartbreaking and sad”
“Praying for humanity. 🤲🏼 Praying for peace. 🤲🏼🇵🇸 Innocent people and especially innocent kids are losing their lives in the war – on both sides. It’s so heartbreaking & sad. 😥💔 PLEASE STOP THE WAR!!! ❌❌❌ ”
However, many have reacted to his message to the conflicting parties especially to his photo which he attached to his tweet. The controversial photo bore images associated to Islam and “FreePalestine” inscription on it. Mesut Ozil is therefore accused by some of taking side in the conflict despite calling for the parties involved to embrace peace.
