Mikel Obi Speaks On Ignoring 2Baba At A London Club

Popular Nigerian football star, Mikel Obi via his Instagram page addressed the rumor of him snubbing Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia popularly known as, ‘2baba’ at a London club.

Recall that in 2006, there was rumor that the former Super Eagles Captain, snubbed 2baba at a club in London.

It was also alleged that the hit track by singer titled, “Only Me” was a diss track to hit back on Mikel for the alleged negative display.

A few years after the speculation, in 2016 2Baba addressed the rumor an interview with Brila FM. He said the whole story was just a rumor and never happened.

In his words;

“At the time I did the song, Mikel had issues with his inability to show up for certain Super Eagles games. Then some very good rumour monger picked a line from my song as regards patriotism towards representing the National football team and ran with the story of a rift between us.

“I spoke with Mikel on the phone and we had a good laugh about it”,  2Baba said.

However, Mikel recently addressed the issue, after a fan with the username, xfranky22, took to his Instagram comment section to questioned him about the incident, if it was true or not.

Mikel replied the fan and revealed that it never happened.
