NDLEA Replies BasketMouth, Reveals Why They Are Conducting Stop And Search At Lekki
Hours after Nigerian sensational standup comedian, Bright Okpocha Popularly known as, ‘Basketmouth’ made a post on X, quizzing The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), if they are aware that their men are at Lekki Admiralty Way, conducting stop and search exercise.
However, NDLEA on Saturday, took to their official X page to reveal why its operatives are carrying out the exercise at Lekki Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos State.
They revealed that they are aware of the ongoing exercise by their men at Lekki roads, and this is to disrupt drug dealing activities within the environ, and make the environ safe for residents.
The post reads;
“Thanks #basket_mouth. The men are on authorized duty based on intelligence, their presence there is not a regular occurrence.
“It’s part of efforts to protect residents from the activities of drug dealers and disrupt supply chain of illicit substances. The cooperation of all is key.” It reads.
