Nigerians Stage Protest Against INEC, Say Their Votes Must Count
As Nigerians await the decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), some concerned Nigerians have staged a peaceful protest against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over its flawed February 25th presidential election.
The protesters who held placards and banners in their hands, demand that the PEPT must make the votes of Nigerians count irrespective of the vested interest of a few powerful Nigerians.
#AllEyesOnTheJudiciary has been trending across Nigeria’s social media space in view of the PEPT delayed judgement on suits challenging INEC’S declaration of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) the winner of the Nigerians presidential election.
Consequently, it appears the social media advocacy has transcended to physical protests in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
