Ogun: Police Nab Man Over Alleged R@pe Of A Prophetess
Days after being on the run, after allegedly r@ping a 40-year-old prophetess in a church in Ogun State, the perpetrator identified as, Lekan Sunday has been arrested by Men of the state police command.
This was revealed by the state police Public Relation Officer, Omolola Odutola, on Monday.
According to the report, the Suspect went into a church, Orioke Aanu Oluwa Gbohunmi, in the Ilogbo Adu area of Kemta, in the state capital with weapons and met the victim sleeping.
He forced himself on the prophetess, but she tried resisting him, so he threatened to kill her with a knife, if she didn’t cooperate.
She pleaded with him for mercy, after several attempt to get People’s attention by shouting, but the suspect insisted and forcefully had s€x with her.
After the incident, the victim quickly rushed to the nearest police station, to report the attack on her.
Following the report, the police launched a manhunt for the suspect who had fled the environ after the incident, and was arrested on Monday.
Odutola further revealed that investigation is ongoing on the case and the Suspect will never go unpunished, if found guilty.
