Okonji Iweala Speaks On Joining Tinubu’s Cabinet, Reveals Details Of Her Discussion With Him
Former Nigerian minister of finance and current Director of World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonji Iweala has revealed the central idea of her discussion with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom he met in Aso Rock yesterday.
Okonji Iweala meeting with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu sparked reactions among Nigerians over whether the Nigeria’s president is considering a ministerial offer for the economist with global reputation. Speculators suggested that Bola Ahmed Tinubu might be seeking her service in fixing Nigeria’s wobbly economy.
However, through her Twitter handle, Okonji Iweala confirmed meeting with president Tinubu. She however did not include being wooed by president Bola Ahmed to join his cabinet as netizens had speculated. She rather stated that their discussion revolved around how the bites of Nigeria’s economic hardship can be ameliorated through job creation and support of the World Trade Organization
