Plane Skids Off Runway Upon Arrival At Lagos Airport use
The National Emergency Management Agency, via X (formerly known as Twitter), revealed that a United Nigerian Aircraft carrying 51 passengers and 4 crew members, with the registration 5NBWY, skidded off runway upon arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos on Friday, around 6:48 pm due to heavy rainfall.
It was revealed that immediately after the incident occured, the Fire Fighting Service (ARFFS) of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) , Aerodrome Rescue team and and other relevant agencies arrived the scene and evacuated all passengers from the aircraft without any causualty recorded.
The Post reads;
“A United Nigerian Airline 51 passengers and 4 Crew United Nigeria airline with registration number 5NBWY skidded off the local runway while trying to land under a very high rainfall at about 1848 hours.
“All passengers evacuated successfully without casualty The airspace has been opened for operations now,” It read.
