Police Begin Investigation Into Death Of Kwara Poly Student
The management of Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, in collaboration with the state police, has begin investigation into the death of a female student of the institution, Miss Toyin Bamidele, who was allegedly hacked to death by unknown persons.
This was revealed by the acting Head of the Public Relations Unit of the institution, Mrs Folake Oyinloye, on Friday while addressing the he press.
The deceased, a Higher National Diploma Student of Food Technology in the institution, was murdered in her apartment, outside the campus in Thursday, 16th November, 2023.
Speaking further on the incident, Mrs Folake Oyinloye, revealed that the institution condemned such strange and inhumane act, and will ensure that the perpetrators of the crime with the aid of security agencies contacted are apprehended.
In her words;
“The management condemns this inhumane act in strong terms as it is strange in the polytechnic community. While the circumstances behind the incident remain unknown, investigations are currently ongoing to reveal the identity of the evil occurrence by the appropriate security agencies and, as a matter of urgency, to fish out the culprits.
“Her demise is an irreparable loss to the entire management and staff of the polytechnic. The management somberly condoles with her family, friends, and the Department of Food Technology for the great loss and urges anyone who has useful information on this occurrence to report to security agents,” She said.
