Popular Event Promoter, Paul Okoye Speaks On Mohbad’s Death
Popular Nigerian, Event Promoter, Talent manger and philanthropist, Paul Okoye, few minutes ago took to the social media to pen down his tribute to late singer, Mohbad.
In the shared tribute, he stated that before Mohbad’s death, the singer revealed about the pressure and mistreatment he got from his former record label, Marlian Music owned by Naira Marley.
He revealed that despite the challenges Mohbad faced which led to his depression, he was resilient trying to maintain his place in the industry.
He further revealed that during his encounter with the late singer, all he saw was a young talent who emits respect, humility and professionalism while dealing with people, but it is unfortunate he went down by depression following the alleged treatment he got from his former record label.
Recall that in a viral video, while in an interview with CITY FM (105.1), Mohbad talked about how his former record label was blocking show promoters from reaching out to him for business.
In the video Mohbad revealed that he was contacted by Paul Okoye, who he referred to as ‘Pauloo’ to perform at the One Africa Fest, in Birmingham, London, (August 11th, 12th and 13th).
He revealed that he was told that his former record label lied to them that he was not okay and can’t Perform without reaching out to him. He told them that he is fine and that was how they booked him to perform at the One Africa Fest.
For people who don’t know about the person discussed above. This Paul Okoye is different from Paul Okoye (Psquare).
