Simi Speaks On Dating Falz Before Marrying Adekunle Gold In 2019

Simisolo Kosoko (Simi)  and Folarin Falana (Falz) sparked dating rumour in the song collaboration “JAMB”. The duo were rumoured to be dating. The dating rumour was further consolidated by their another song collaboration “SOLDIER”.

Speaking in an interview on MTV Base Africa, Simi confirmed that it was speculated that she was having an affair with Falz before her marriage to Adekunle Gold in 2019. She however stated that her relationship with Falz was based on their music interest and collaboration.

She added that at the time of the rumour, herself and Falz collaborated to produce “Soldier” which throve on the speculation about their dating.

In her words:  Falz did a verse on my song, ‘JAMB Question Remix’. And I was like, ‘Ah! Me and this guy, there is a vibe there.’ So, we did ‘Soldier’, and everybody was like, the chemistry is so amazing.

“We never saw that. People bought what we were not selling. And we were like, okay, this is a strategy.

So, we did ‘Chemistry’ the album. People gave us the name and the idea. We never actually came and say, oh, we are dating”
