Supreme Court P.R.O Speaks On Fire Outbreak, It’s Effect Presidential Election Petition.

Minutes after report emerged online revealing that the supreme court building in Abuja was gutted by fire, destroying three offices, including that of Justice Mohammed Saulawa, before it was put off by fire fighters.
The Supreme court Public Relations Officer, Festus Akande, while in a chat with Arise TV this morning, stated that the fire outbreak won’t affect the presidential election petition.
According to him the fire outbreak was triggered by an electrical fault, which only affected books and computer equipment in a chamber not all building.
In his words;
“As a matter of fact, there’s no single connection, and it won’t affect anything in the court.
“This incident occurred in a chamber equipped with a computer and other equipment, as well as a functional library used by any justice occupying such chamber.
“The only thing that was affected were the books and computer equipment in the chamber. Even the books are replaceable.
“Also, it has nothing to do with it because it was from an electrical fault, which could happen anywhere, and there are things that happen daily.” He said.
