Twenty UNICAL Students Hospitalized After Exam Stampede
In a report released by News Agency Of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday, 11th November,2023, not less than twenty students of University of Calabar (Unical), were rushed to the institution teaching hospital, following a stampede at an examination hall at the campus.
The report revealed that the incident occured where all 100 level students were billed to write the General Studies and Communication Skills (GSS) examination, that was postponed from Friday to Saturday.
Though the examination was suppose to be written in batches, but students were rushing to secure a space for themselves from the few available ones.
No statement has been released by the management of the institution at the time of writing this report, as they declined all interviews.
