Video: Detail Emerges On Atiku Abubakar And Rabiu Kwakwanso Secret Meeting On 15th Of August
Former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwakwanso had a closed door meeting with Atiku Abubakar on the 15th of August, 2023.
The two northern politicians had fallen out with each other over the 2023 presidential election as Kwakwanso refused to forgo his 2023 presidential ambition to support that of Atiku Abubakar. Also, Kwakwanso after the February 25th presidential election, went into a brief political romance with the eventual winner of the election, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In one of his several meetings with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kwakwanso revealed that he has been offered an opportunity to serve in president Tinubu’s cabinet.
However, the former Kano State governor failed to make it into the 45-man-list of minister designate of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu; a development many speculate might have angered him and made him switch allegiance to Atiku Abubakar who await the decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).
On the meeting between the dou, a source who desires to be anonymous, claims that Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwakwanso are plotting on how to thwart president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s proposed invasion of Niger through ECOWAS. The source alleged that president Tinubu sees going to war against the Niger military juntas as an opportunity to earn himself legitimacy before the United States of America and France who have vested interest in Niger.
According to the source, he also sees going to war in Niger as a political means to lengthen his administration which is likely to be truncated by the PEPT.
“Atiku and Kwakwanso know his plots and it will thwarted. He wants to be trusted by the west and he wants to manipulate our constitution by going to war. When the court removes him, there won’t be a rerun because the country is at war. This is what he is planning”.
Speaking further, the source says, ” remember that there was a protest in Kano again the proposed war. There was a similar protest in Katsina. This is what Atiku and Kwakwanso are planning, to instigate more protest so that Tinubu will back out of his plan military intervention in Niger”.
