The Labour Party presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi whose acceptance has been soaring across the six geographical zones of the Federation, has often been referred by his political opponents as a social presidential candidate.
According to his critics and opponents, his popularity online does not transcend to his acceptance and popularity among the larger sum of Nigerians offline.
Tired of answering such a question from interviewers on his popularity being limited to online and which lacks real electoral weight, Peter Obi during a radio interview session, sought to put the argument to rest by asking the interviewers where they come from.
According to him, the wave is everywhere and the argument that his popularity online does not having a real Political weight, a mere speculation and in contrast to the reality.
Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed Yesufu have promised to revamp Nigeria’s failing economy by transforming the nation to a producing state from its current over reliance on importation.
However, he faces two Political gladiators in the February 2023 presidential election. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria is on the ballot for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), while the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has a former governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Bola Ahmed as its running mate.
