Video: “…This is Disrespectful” – Netizens Debate Over Veteran Actor, Pete Edochie’s Handshake With Ooni Of Ife

On Thursday, 25th May, 2023, a video emerged online showing Popular Nollywood Veteran Actor, Pete Edochie exchanging pleasantries with Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. 

In the viral video the Veteran actor was seen in a party alongside with his colleague, Kanayo O. Kanayo, when they approached the monarch they shaked him.

However, some Nigerians took to the social media to debate on their pleasantries.

Some stated that the actor should have prostrated since he was before a Yoruba King, while some countered it by pointing out that the actor is a respected titled man in Igbo land and the Igbos don’t bow to no one except their God.

Some revealed that the handshake Ooni of Ife got is what an Igbo King will get from the veteran actor.
