Amid the death of Nigerian Singer, Mohbad and the reports emerging recently online, revealing the hidden things happening in Afrobeats industry.
Popular Nigerian actress cum director, Funke Akindele, while in a recent chat with BellaNaija, shaded more light on her Prime Video mini-series titled, “She Must Be Obeyed”.
The comic actress, who is the writer, executive producer and co-director of the series, stated that it was created to expose the dark side of Afrobeats industry, covered with the curtain of razzmatazz and glamorous display, depicting the industry to be friendly and peaceful.
In the series, a popular successful Afrobeats music star, Siyanbola Adewale, did everything thing to maintain her position in the industry.
Exploitation, manipulation, deception and revenge are some of the themes in the movie, which was displayed by her, but things turned around when some people around her created the synergy to fight her and unveil to the public her true nature.
Featured in the series are; Funke Akindele, Nancy Isime, Waje, Veeiye, Mike Ezuruonye, Shaffy Bello et-al. Directed by Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz.
