“What Else Are You Looking For”, Handcuffed Seun Kuti Tearfully Queries Police Officers In New Video
Popular Nigerian singer and self-acclaimed activist for good governance, Seun Kuti has through his Twitter handle, expressed his frustration at his ongoing investigation by the Nigeria Police.
Seun Kuti was arraigned today before Magistrate Court, Yaba for the viral video of his slapping a police officer on Third Mainland bridge, Lagos. Seun Kuti is also accused of blocking oncoming van of the police officers on the Third Mainland bridge.
At his arraignment on Tuesday, the magistrate initially ordered that Seun Kuti remain in the police custody for not more than 48 hours. However, at his rearrangement today, the magistrate granted the plea by the prosecutor to keep Seun in police custody for a period of four days so as to perfect their ongoing investigation.
Interestingly, the singer a few hours ago, shared a video of himself on Twitter with the caption: “OGA OFFICERS, ABEG WETIN UNA DEY LOOKU FOR ✊🏿ALUTA CONTINUA”.
The tweet is adjudged as an attempt to validate claims by some of his being victimized in police custody.
