What I Discussed With U.K Ex-prime Minister, Tony Blair- Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed what he discussed with United Kingdom former Prime Minister, Tony Blair.
Mr. Tony Blair paid the Nigeria’s president-elect a visit at the defense house, Abuja where he and the vice President-elect await their official swearing on May 29th, 2023.
Mr. Tony Blair’s visit to Bola Ahmed Tinubu elicited varying reactions from Nigerians some who accused the former U.K PM of identifying with a drug lord especially as Bola Tinubu’s presidential victory is still being challenged in the court by the opposition parties.
A popular supporter of Mr Peter Obi’s presidential ambition and retired mental health counselor, Jeffery Guterman in his reaction to Tony Blair’s visit to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, wrote: “Left to right: A drug trafficker and a war criminal”.
Interestingly, Bola Ahmed through his Twitter handle has now disclosed that his discussion with Tony Blair was about mutual interest between Nigeria and Tony Blair Institute for Good Governance.
“I received former British Prime Minister and founder of the Tony Blair Institute for Good Governance, Mr Tony Blair, at the Defence House, Abuja, earlier today.
“We discussed areas of mutual interest and how Nigeria can continue to benefit from the amazing work of the Institute.”
