What I Found Out In My Investigation Of Allegation That Peter Obi Sponsored A Girl To Traffic Drugs To Peru – Reno Omokri
Controversial pastor and former aide to ex-president Good Luck Ebele Jonathan, Reno Omokri has maintained his stance that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu was admitted into Chicago State University and graduated from the institution with honours.
Reno Omokri in a post he made on his Facebook page, advised that politics should not warrant political opponents spreading falsehood about one another.
He claimed that Peter Obi prior to the 2023 presidential election, was accused by former Niger Delta militant leader, Asaro Dokubo of sponsoring an unnamed lady to Peru on drug trafficking. Reno claimed further that he had visited Peru to verify Asari Dokubo’s claims and discovered that it is false just as president Bola Ahmed Tinubu CSU certificate forgery allegation is false.
“Let me shock Nigerians. Just as I went to Chicago State University to physically verify whether or not Bola Tinubu was lying, I also went to a Women’s Prison in Lima, Peru, to investigate Asari Dokubo’s claims that Peter Obi sponsored a girl to traffic drugs and she was jailed in Peru. I went there with a witness and made a video”, he wrote.
“In both instances, I found Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi to be innocent and guiltless of these allegations. And I ensured that those who wanted to use the information for the election did not do so. Because I will not oppose anyone based on lies”.
He added that notwithstanding that he opposed Peter Obi’s presidential ambition, he did not spread the false claim of his sponsoring a lady to Peru for drug trafficking. He enjoins Nigerians to play responsible politics.
“We must learn how to play responsible politics. If a person is guilty, use his guilt to harass him. But if he is innocent, don’t hide that fact simply because he is your opponent or enemy. There is a reason why the Peter Obi drug link did not feature again after Asari Dokubo made it. And it is because I killed it as untrue.
“Bola Tinubu was admitted, attended and graduated from Chicago University. He also did not forge his certificate. Accept the truth and move on. It is the honourable thing to do!”
