WhatsApp Unveils New Group Feature

On Wednesday, 23rd August, 2023, The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, took to his official verified Facebook page, to reveal a new feature to be added to the instant messaging platform, WhatsApp.

According to him this new feature will enable users to be able to create a group without giving it a name, but the group will be automatically titled based on the members in the group chat.

He further revealed that unlike the usual group chat that do accommodate only 1,024 participants, the recent one will only accomodate six participants, and the group name generated base on their names

Some of his words reads;

“Making it simpler to start WhatsApp groups by naming them based on who’s in the chat when you don’t feel like coming up with another name,” he wrote..

Recall that around May this year, the social media platform was upgraded with a new feature that enables users to be able to edit their already sent messages.

Especially when they noticed any mistake in spelling, or context of the message sent to another user
