Why Tinubu Called The APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu A Masquerade

The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu described his relationship with the national chairman of the APC as a big masquerade dance which is no longer in the cage but at the market place.

Tinubu made the statement while dispelling rumour that he has a rift with the APC’s chairman. Tinubu who spoke after his meeting with the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) clarified that he has no misunderstanding. He described his relationship with Abdullahi Adamu as one which transcended from their time as governors of Nasarawa and Lagos State respectively.

“To the rumour manufacturers, I read in some papers about a disagreement between myself and the chairman and that was a very big lie.

“They didn’t know that we have come a long way. The big masquerade dance is not in the cage but in the market square.

“And that is what Adamu used to be, full of wisdom, we were governors together, before God put us together on this project again.

“He is going to deliver as the Chairman of the party for me to become the president of Nigeria. And I am very confident of that.”

He added that he is confident on Adumu’s leadership and believes that he will lead the party to victory in the 2023 presidential election.
