Wizkid Grieves Over Tragedy That Befell His Music Team

Nigerian Afro singer and Grammy award winner, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has expressed his grievance over the death of London-based guitarist, Joey Bass, whom he performed with at the O2 Arena last year.

The “Ojuelegba” crooner, took to his Instagram handle to mourn the death of the guitarist whose cause of death remains yet unknown.

“RIP Joey. Thank you for sharing your light with me.” Wizkid had posted earlier today.

Following Wizkid’s Made in Lagos Tour Concert at the O2 Arena late last year, Joey Bass had expressed his delight to share the stage with the Afro singer.

“I still can’t get over the fact I got to play upfront on stage with @wizkidayo I feeling real Blessed!!! 20,000 people at the @theo2london definitely a highlight in my career!” Joey had posted on his Instagram handle after the concert.

Sadly, his career was short-lived by his sudden demise which had left scores of fans shocked.

Earlier last month, Joey had shared a post of his second daughter’s first birthday which he celebrated with his family.

“Happy birthday to our 2nd Princess Aliya Evanna Reane Grant aka “Lili” aka Dumpling. You bring us so much happiness & joy. We love you dearly and we are looking forward to see you grow up to the Queen your destined to be.” Joey had posted what appeared to be his last before his demise.

Prior to his daughter’s birthday, Joey also had a stage performance with London singer, Conya Doss at the Jazz Café.
