Yul Edochie Lambasts Tinubu’s Critics, Gives Reasons

L-R: APC’s Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie

Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie has lambasted those criticizing the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Following a viral post of the Seadogs Confraternity making jest of Tinubu’s state of health, the outspoken Nollywood actor took a stand for the Presidential candidate in what seems like a reaction to the viral post.

“Old age is a blessing. And sickness can happen to any one whether young or old. Making a mockery of Tinubu’s health or age is wrong. It’s ok if he’s not your candidate but making gest of him cos of his age or health is Absolutely wrong. You may not be lucky to see old age.” Yul Edochie tweeted earlier today.

Tinubu had been an object of criticism ever since his emergence as the flag bearer for APC with his competency thrown into question.

Aside turning his “garri, cassava, beans, and dodo” statement into catchphrase used as object of ridicule, several Nigerians had also made light jokes about his health following video footage of his shaky hands.

However, Edochie’s generated disapproving reactions as most people condemned Tinubu’s presidential ambition.

A Tweeter handler, Jude Akhidenor, emphasized on the APC candidate’s age.

“When an 86yrs old man is grandstanding, telling us to our face that is “Emi lo kan” and is about to take the destinies of millions to the grave you are talking about respect. I don’t even know what to tell you. Na this warped respect mentality dey make us dey call black white” Jude replied.

Another handler, Julius, reminded Edochie of his clamor for youth presidency over the years.

“You’ve been clamouring for youth presidency since 2020,..So why supporting and “old man”to rule a country like Nigeria..indeed what money cannot do doesn’t exist.”
