Special counsel Robert Hur’s report on president Joe Biden mishandling of sensitive classified documents on America’s security and international policies, has disclosed that Joe Biden contemplated resigning as Obama’s vice president in protest of Obama’s policies in Afghanistan in 2009.

According to Robert Hur, Joe Biden who was fond of writing on notebooks he used during national security council meetings in 2009, contemplated resigning his vice presidency in protest against Obama’s policies in Afghanistan.

‘Tomorrow the President is going to make a fateful decision regarding Afghanistan – as I sat looking out the window at the sea – thinking I should resign in protest over what will bring his administration down,” he wrote in the notebook.

Joe Biden is understood to have strongly opposed Obama’s policies in Afghanistan as well as Obama’s military exercises in Afghanistan which he (Biden) likened to America’s military intervention mistake in Vietnam. He described Obama’s proposal in 2009 to send 40,000 troops to Afghanistan as “f*cking outrageous” and concluded that the mission will be “disastrous”.

Consequently, president Joe Biden faces accusation of hoarding classified documents on Afghanistan to prove his critics wrong and to show that his argument was reasonably right.

“He had a strong motive to keep the classified Afghanistan documents,” because of his belief the 2009 troop surge was a Vietnam-level mistake”, Robert Hur’s report says

“He wanted the record to show that he was right about Afghanistan; that his critics were wrong; and that he had opposed President Obama’s mistaken decision forcefully”.
