Mr Macaroni takes side between DonJazzy and Wizkid as netizens accuse Wizkid of insulting DonJazzy

Popular Nigerian comic actor, Mr. Macaroni has taken side between DonJazzy and Wizkid as netizens continue to argue whether or not Wizkid’s remark about DonJazzy is actually derogatory or demeaning.

Wizkid had through his Twitter handle claimed that he has no business with DonJazzy’s signee, Ladipo. He further described DonJazzy as an influencer whom he has no business with also.

His statement which refered to DonJazzy as an influencer is thereafter construed by many as demeaning DonJazzy and that he arrogantly aimed to demean the personality of the Marvin record label boss.

Consequently, in his reaction, Mr. Macaroni argues that DonJazzy is indeed the biggest Nigeria’s music influencer. He added that DonJazzy’s influence goes beyond music making. However, he pointed that the manner and context in which Wizkid refered to DonJazzy as an influencer, is indeed demeaning.

“Donjazzy is perhaps the biggest Entertainment Influencer in Africa. And the beautiful thing is that his influence cuts across. From music, to contents, films, brands etc.

“However, we would all be hypocrites to say that the context in which he was called an influencer isn’t disrespectful to everything he has done and is still doing for the Nigerian Music Industry.

“An absolute legend. He promotes Music Artistes even outside his record label. Gives free advice and visibility to up and coming artists, shows love to everyone irrespective of their status. I am also a beneficiary of his phenomenal influence! Don Baba J!!!! Your Influence Choke!!!”, Mr. Macaroni wrote.

Also, another social commentator, Daniel Regha criticized Wizkid for his acclaimed demeaning statement about some Nigerian music superstars which included Davido, Ladipo and Don Jazzy.

He argued that Wizkid’s music career has had little or no influence on Nigerians. He explained that the music superstar has failed to groom any music artist nor assist their music career.

“-Don Jazzy helped flourish the careers of D’banj, Wande Coal, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, & many others.

-Olamide championed Adekunkle Gold, Lil Kesh, Asake, Fireboy, just to name a few.

-Davido is helping a few upcomers like Mayorkun

build up their career; Same with M.I who elevated artistes like Blaqbonez.

But the question is, besides posting on IG stories, who has W!zkid made a success in the music industry?
