Troost Ekong speaks on Peter Obi’s presence in the stadium during Nigeria’s victory against Angola (Video)

Super Eagles assistant captain, Troost Ekong has commented on the presence of prominent Nigerian politicians in the stadium where Nigeria secured a 1:0 victory over Angola in their quarter final match at the ongoing 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’Ivoire.

Troost Ekong commended the politicians and other Nigerians for coming to the stadium in Abijan to cheer the team to victory.

A few hours before the Nigeria vs Angola match, Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu called the team via zoom to encourage them to ensure victory over their opponent.

When asked to comment specifically on the presence of the Nigeria’s Senate president, Godswill Akpabio and popular Nigeria’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi at the stadium, he revealed that they are not different from other Nigerians who also desire the team to be victorious over their opponents.
