Nigeria Defeat Angola To Reach AFCON 2023 Semi-final
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the Semi-Final stage of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast, after defeating their opponent , Angola, on Friday 3rd February, 2023.
Following an assist from Moses Simon, Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman scored at the 41 minutes, to make-up his goal for the tournament to be three.
This gave Nigeria an edge to clinch a spot in the Semi-finals of the ongoing tournament.
In the second half, Victor Osimhen’s goal was ruled out, after VAR proved it was an offside.
The super Eagles will be facing Cape Verde or South Africa in the Semi-Finals, and the winner of the game will be at the finals of the tournament.
