Kwara State Varsity Student Commits Su!cide
A final year student of Kwara State University, Malete, in the Moro Local Government Area of the state, Rashidat Shittu, reportedly committed su!cide due to poor academic performance.
According to the report, the deceased ingested insecticide, and Called for help when she started feeling pains.
Her colleagues rushed her to the school clinic, but due to how severe the issue was, they quickly took her to University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Affirming the report, a medical team member, who was part of the people that attended to her pleaded anonymity revealed that the student was brought in dead.
She further narrated what the deceased colleagues told the medical professionals on ground.
In her words;
“Her colleagues said she was having issues with her academic status in school. She later informed her colleagues when she started feeling the pain that she had ingested insecticide,” she said.
It was also revealed that deceased was buried at Muslim cemetery, Osere, Ilorin, by family members and employees of the students affairs unit of KWASU.
