Why I Stopped Giving Valentine’s Gifts – BBNaija Efe
BBNaija Season 2 winner cum singer, Michael Ejeba, popularly known as, ‘Efe Money’, while speaking with Sunday Scoop, shared the ordeal he had, which made him to stop giving Valentine’s gifts.
According to him, while still in secondary school, he was mocked by his girlfriend’s friends over the worth of the gift he got her.
He stated that they tagged his gift to be too cheap, so this made him less concerned about valentine, but he recently started caring because he have a better and appreciative girlfriend now.
In his words;
“The worst Valentine’s Day experience I have had was when I was mocked in secondary school because of the gift I got for my girlfriend. Her friends said it was cheap. For some time, I stopped giving gifts to my partners. However, I have a better and appreciative girlfriend now, so I give her gifts.”
Speaking further he revealed that love is meant to be celebrated everyday, despite our relationship status. What matters more is self love, which is unbreakable.
“One should celebrate love every single day, especially when one is in love. It is also important for one to love oneself. If one does not love oneself, one would not want to be alive.”
